If you choose Accoya® timber, your windows will be guaranteed against rot for a least 50 years. That’s because the timber has been modified to drastically reduce it’s natural ability to absorb moisture. This feature makes the timber very stable so not only will your windows open effortlessly all year round the paint finish will last twice as long as on hardwood.
The design of our traditional casement windows offer superior performance against the elements too. The casement sash sits flush with the frame to create a shadow and improve weathering protection. Made from high quality timber, they have been designed with function and durability in mind.
We can incorporate acoustic or laminate glass and slimline glazing with putty-line applied bars or authentic puttied panes to suit heritage properties. Period moulding is applied to all timber sections and glazing bars, which have been designed to replicate the slim sections typical of original windows and avoid a ‘upvc window look’. Traditional casements use period style locking fasteners, stays and butt hinges.
